The extraction tube pulls items from inventories. One full stack is pulled every 10 ticks, or twice per second. No checks are done to ensure the extracted item can go anywhere so items may end up being extracted only to bounce back and get jammed.
Applying a redstone signal (any redstone level) turns off the extraction tube.
